Lone Star Expeditions specializes in helping adolescents ages 13-17 who are experiencing or exhibiting any of the following:
Family Conflict
Low Self-Esteem
Sense of Entitlement
Manipulation
Isolation
Depression
Substance Use
Oppositional Defiance
Attention Deficit
Learning Differences
School Failure
Negative Peer Relationships
Potential Exclusionary Criteria
The program does not work with students who have major mental health thought disorders, serious histories of running away, habitual patterns of violence outside the home, or who are currently demonstrating a willingness to hurt themselves or others. Any student requiring injections or has a history of using injections may be deemed to high of a risk for wilderness setting.
